Anissia Bunton is the proud mother of Alexis and Stacey II. She is a graduate of the Youth Performing Arts School here in Louisville where she majored in Voice. Anissia is also a graduate of the University of Kentucky, where she received her BA in Vocal Performance. After graduating from UK, Anissia was blessed to join the cast of "Mama, I Want to Sing". Mama I Want To Sing is the longest running Off Broadway show in history. Anissia played "Doris Winter", which was the lead in this show. With this show Anissia travelled to Japan, Germany, Caribbean Island, London and many cities in the United States. Anissia's favorite scripture is Ephesians 3:20 which states Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us...

Evelyn J Clark was baptized at the age of 11 and rededicated her life to Christ at the Bethel Church January 1997 and serves in several ministries: Christian Education – Asst. & Teacher; Youth Sunday School teacher 2 years and Adult Women 7 years. Bethel Ministries on the Move, Secretary; Music Ministry, President of Psalms of Praise Choir, Alto, program and flyer designer and Pastor’s Executive Staff member as the Administrative Troubleshooter. Rev. Bell describes her as “Ms. Fixit”. She is an assistant to all, willing to help in any way she can, to present an excellent product and workmanship in the name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

By the grace of God some of her personal achievements include US Army Reserve – SFC, Retired 1999 and Metropolitan Sewer District 19 years of service and KY Retirement System- Retired 2003.

Brenda Simpson
Director of Ministries

Brenda Simpson, has been a member of the Bethel Baptist Church since April 13, 1980. During that time she has served on the usher board, church choir and in 1998 was elected to the position of a trustee.

In 2001 she was selected as the Director of Ministries under the leadership of the Rev. Dr. Joique Bell. There are currently 28 active ministries that meet the first Saturday of each month to bring unity with each ministry. She also is the chairperson for the Annual Seniors Christmas Luncheon. Her daily prayer is asking God if she is able to help someone “TODAY” to please let her. Her favorite bible verse is the Beatitudes.
Her motto is: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Artrice Temple
Evangelism Ministry Leader

Artrice D. Temple accepted her call to be a Minister of the Gospel in 1999. She was licensed to preach at Bethel Baptist Church in April 2003 under Rev. Dr. Joique D. Bell, Pastor. Ministries she participates in are the Psalms of Praise Choir at Bethel Baptist Church, Associate Minister, and Ministry Leader of Evangelism Ministry - S.W.A.T Souljahz with Awesome Truth. She has preached throughout the state of KY as well as other states. She is currently employed with JCPS since 1998 at Liberty High School as a clerk in the counseling office. Her favorite scripture is 1 Corinthians 13:1. It is her sincere hope that we love people as God loves us and to help an unsaved world to know that God is the only way if you want to be set Free!!!
